What is a Fuzzy? A fuzzy is a small creature with sticker feet and a tag that says "I got a warm inner glow at Southwoods." These are awarded to campers that do something above and beyond to make someone else's day better.
How does someone get a fuzzy?
By doing something that is helpful to someone else, doing something special, or achieving something great.
What is a fuzzy nomination slip?
These are paper forms found in the boys and girls HCs that can be used to let head staff know of somone that is deserving of a fuzzy. The slip must be completed and put in the fuzzy nomination box before evening lineup.
When are fuzzies given out?
At evening lineup before dinner the Head Staff announce a few boys and a few girls that were nominated for fuzzies. Those campers run out and reach into the fuzzy bag to pick their favorite color fuzzy! Everyone cheers and high fives!
What is a Birthday Fuzzy?
Birthdays while at camp are special. If you celebrate your birthday at camp you'll get a special Birthday Fuzzy on your special day.
What is a Bunk Fuzzy?
Just like a regular fuzzy, but for your entire cabin! When a whole group of campers in a bunk have done something helpful or special they receive a bunk fuzzy! Bunk fuzzies are much larger. Also after your bunk receives the bunk fuzzy then your bunk nominates and announces the next cabin to receive it!
When you arrive at camp the giant camp fuzzy will greet you, as it sits on the hill in front of the Safe Haven.
